Community Dune Planting, Inverloch
Help restore Inverloch’s coastal dunes by planting native vegetation, then enjoy a community barbecue beside the beautiful Bass Coast shoreline.
When: Saturday 26 September 2026, 10 am–12 pm, followed by a barbecue lunch
Where: Inverloch Surf Life Saving Club, 163 Surf Parade, Inverloch VIC 3996
Cost: Free; registration is required
Join South Gippsland Conservation Society and the local community to plant 1,000 native plants on the reconstructed dunes in front of Inverloch Surf Life Saving Club. The planting will help reduce wind erosion, trap sand, rebuild dune structure and provide habitat for native wildlife.
South Gippsland Conservation Society will guide the planting, with a barbecue lunch hosted by Inverloch Surf Life Saving Club afterwards. Everyone is welcome.
Important information
Registration is essential so organisers can share weather-related cancellation updates and cater for the barbecue. Wear sturdy work clothing and footwear, and come prepared for an active morning outdoors.
