🛍️ Retail Snapshot ; June 2025 from Morgans.com.au ......  June was good for some taking part in end of financial year sales.  Remembering these are snapshots are taken from Australian wide data.

Australian retail sales rose +1.2% month-on-month in June,  well above expectations  driven by mid-year sales events and value-conscious shoppers seeking furniture, clothing, and electronics.

Top categories:

• Household Goods ↑ 2.3%

• Other Retailing ↑ 1.9%

• Specialised Food Retailing ↑ 13.4% YoY

• Pharmaceuticals ↑ 9.2% YoY

Notably weaker:

• Eating Out ↓ 0.4% (Cafes & Restaurants down 0.6%)

• Liquor Retailing ↓ 2.1% YoY

• Books & Newspapers ↓ 1.3% YoY

Online sales were up +5.6%, now 12.7% of all retail sales.
