The Unofficial Inverloch Uniform
These Boots Were Made for Inverloch
Some products just seem to belong in Inverloch.
Take a walk through town on any given day and you'll spot them everywhere. At the bakery, outside the cafés, wandering along the beach or heading off on a weekend adventure. Chances are you'll see a pair of Merry People boots purchased from Mookah Inverloch.
For sisters Leisa and Nicole, owners of this much-loved Inverloch lifestyle store, it's easy to understand why.
When choosing the brands they stock, the pair look for products that feel right, wear well and genuinely add something to everyday life. Quality, authenticity and thoughtful production matter, and wherever possible they love supporting Australian makers and designers who share those values.
That's one of the reasons Merry People has become such a favourite.
The company was founded by Danni, who grew up just down the road in Leongatha. Like Leisa and Nicole, she started with a simple idea and turned it into a thriving business.
Her invention? The Bobbi Boot.
Danni took something practical and transformed it into something people genuinely wanted to wear. Waterproof, comfortable and available in a rainbow of colours, the Bobbi Boot quickly developed a loyal following.
And nowhere seems to have embraced them quite like Inverloch.
Maybe it's because life here often involves a little bit of everything. A morning beach walk. A wander through town. A quick trip to the market. Meeting friends for coffee. Exploring a trail after a winter rain shower.
The Bobbi Boot seems perfectly suited to all of it.
Leisa favours the earthy Rust and Khaki tones, while Nicole gravitates towards brighter colours like Mustard. This season, Merry People has introduced three new shades to the collection: Teal, Brick Red and Charcoal, offering even more choice for those who love a splash of colour or prefer a more natural palette.
And with the opening of the new Inverloch-Wonthaggi Trail, there has never been a better excuse to put a pair to work.
The 14-kilometre trail links Inverloch and Wonthaggi through beautiful bushland and farming landscapes, inviting walkers, cyclists and nature lovers to explore more of the Bass Coast region.
New trail. New colours. New adventures.
Whether you're heading out for the full journey or simply enjoying a stroll around town, one thing is certain: you'll be in good company.
