Regional Event Grant support

Inverloch Equinox Festival Returns March 20–22, 2026
Victorian Government Backs Inverloch Equinox Festival Through Regional Events Fund

The Inverloch Equinox Festival has received proud support from the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria’s Regional Events Fund, strengthening its role as a major driver of visitation, community connection and cultural celebration across the Bass Coast.

Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos said festivals like Inverloch Equinox play an important role in regional economies.

“Festivals like this, which are funded through our Regional Events Fund, play an important role in driving visitation to the region – supporting local businesses and showcasing everything that makes Gippsland such a great place to visit,” he said.

Member for Bass Jordan Crugnale said the festival captures the spirit of the region.
“The Inverloch Equinox Festival is all about great music, creative energy and a fantastic coastal atmosphere, and it’s the kind of event that makes people want to stay a little longer and soak it all in,” she said.

Returning to the Bass Coast from March 20–22, 2026, the Inverloch Equinox Festival invites locals and visitors to celebrate harvest, wellbeing and nature in one of Victoria’s most loved coastal towns. Set against Inverloch’s stunning coastline, the festival blends food, wine, music, movement and community into a weekend that encourages people to slow down, reconnect and celebrate the changing season.

The festival opens on Friday night with a curated cheese and wine appreciation event, showcasing local producers and makers. Visitors can also explore Inverloch after dark through guided town tours, take in Inverloch’s breath-taking night skies and star gaze through telescopes supplied by the Mornington Peninsula’s Astronomical Society or immerse themselves in Joy in Motion, a soul-nourishing experience blending breathwork, yoga, sound healing and dance. There are horse meditation and bush poetry events at Wattle Bank Farm as well as an opportunity to wander the gardens of local artist Carla Van Laar as part of her open studio.

Saturday delivers two signature festival highlights. From 10am to 4pm, the Inverloch Wellbeing Expo will host more than 25 holistic healers and wellbeing practitioners, offering treatments, workshops and demonstrations focused on balance, health and connection.

As the sun sets, festival energy lifts with Live at The Glade, a FREE community celebration featuring live music, market stalls, local food vendors, family-friendly activities and plenty of space to dance under the stars. Headlining the night are acclaimed surf-folk artist Jack Botts, joined by the hypnotic didgeridoo soundscapes of Ganga Giri, PLUS dance-floor favourites Hot Tub, and local youth bands Zenith Paradox and The Drop Kicks. The night continues into the early hours with the Equinox Encore at the Esplanade Hotel.

Jack Botts has built a dedicated global following with over 100 million streams and extensive tours across North America, Europe, the UK and Australia. His laid-back, heartfelt sound draws inspiration from home, nature and everyday moments, themes that beautifully echo the spirit of the Inverloch Equinox Festival.

Sunday offers a gentler finale with local markets, relaxed coastal exploration and long lunches at Inverloch’s much-loved food and wine venues. Families can also enjoy kid-friendly activities including a fishing competition and the chance to score a hole-in-one at Lucky 13 Mini Golf and dinosaur discoveries with the South Gippsland Conservation Society.

The Inverloch Equinox Festival is a celebration of community, creativity and the natural rhythms that shape life on the coast. Whether you come for the music, wellbeing, food or simply the atmosphere, Inverloch promises a memorable autumn escape. You really want to stay longer and explore further.

Other major festival supporters include funding from the Australian Government’s Stronger Communities Programme, Community Bank Inverloch | Bendigo Bank and Bass Coast Shire Council.
