Step back in time and explore one of Australia’s most significant fossil sites on this guided Dinosaur Discovery experience at Eagles Nest, near Inverloch. This remarkable coastal location is where Australia’s first dinosaur bone — the famous Cape Paterson claw — was discovered in 1903.

During the event, participants will learn about the area’s ancient geological history, including dramatic fault lines formed by prehistoric earthquakes and fascinating petrified trees. You’ll also have the opportunity to search for fossils yourself while discovering how scientists identify and interpret evidence from the Early Cretaceous period.

This hands-on, educational experience is perfect for families, nature lovers, and anyone curious about Australia’s dinosaur past.
