Looking Back, Moving Forward
ITA President’s Report October 2025
Hi Members,
It’s hard to believe another 12 months have passed as we approach the Inverloch Tourism Association Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 28 October at 7pm at The Inlet Hotel. Full AGM details have been shared, but I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the year that’s been; and what a year it’s been!
Building Our Digital Presence
Our Visit Inverloch website continues to go from strength to strength, with incredible new content and features showcasing the very best of our town and region. The positive feedback we receive from across the tourism industry is a testament to the quality of work being produced and the pride we take in representing Inverloch.
Promoting Inverloch Far and Wide
The ITA marketing team has been busy championing Inverloch across every platform — from stunning video content to social media campaigns that reach thousands. Our Father’s Day campaign alone reached more than 250,000 views, proving just how much people love to engage with our town’s stories.
Advocacy for Our Town
As part of I*CAN, we’ve been actively advocating for a practical and sustainable beach protection plan for Inverloch — work that will continue as new stages of the project roll out. Beyond that, we’re also pushing forward on other key issues including CCTV coverage, the shared pathway between Wonthaggi and Inverloch, and future streetscape improvements.
We encourage both members and community groups to reach out to us with any advocacy issues or ideas that need a local voice.
Events That Bring Us Together
The 2025 Autumn Equinox Festival was another huge success; a celebration of creativity, wellbeing and community spirit. Planning for the 2026 event is already underway, with even more exciting experiences to come. We also proudly supported the Inverloch Jazz Festival and hope to see it continue to grow in future years.
Strengthening Our Business Network
Our Mixer Networking Events, now led by Sarah Vesty and Narelle Hams, have become a highlight on the local business calendar. The most recent Mixer at the RACV Inverloch Resort drew a fantastic turnout and featured an engaging lineup of guest speakers — a real testament to the energy and collaboration within our community.
Collaboration & Partnerships
Strong partnerships remain central to our success. We continue to work closely with Destination Gippsland and Bass Coast Shire Council, ensuring Inverloch is promoted as a place to Stay Longer and Explore Further. These relationships are vital as we continue to position our town as one of Gippsland’s must-visit destinations.
Growing Our Capacity
To keep pace with our expanding programs, ITA has invested in internal resources to better serve our members. We were delighted to welcome Monique Wilson (Marketing & Communications) and Rebecca Wright (Administration) to our team. Their expertise and energy have already made a significant impact on what the ITA can deliver.
Looking Ahead
At this year’s AGM, members will elect a new Executive Committee, with seven positions open — President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and three General Committee members.
If you’re considering nominating, please note that committee members are expected to commit 3–5 hours per week to ensure the ITA continues to thrive. Shared effort keeps our progress strong and sustainable.
Thank You
Finally, a heartfelt thank you to all our members for your ongoing support — and a warm welcome to those who have recently joined. Your involvement helps us keep Inverloch vibrant, visible, and moving forward.
The year ahead is full of opportunity, and we can’t wait to make it happen together.
