Local Events: A Win for Business and Community

Why a Vibrant Event Calendar Matters for Inverloch
And how you can help make it happen!

There’s no better way to create buzz, connect with locals, and draw visitors into town than by hosting your own event. Whether it’s a launch, a tasting, a workshop, or a seasonal sale — in-person experiences build connection, showcase your personality, and remind people why they love shopping local. Events also provide valuable opportunities for cross-promotion through Visit Inverloch’s website, social media, and community networks — helping your business reach a wider audience.

The Inverloch Tourism Association (ITA) congratulates Bliss in Inverloch, The Larder, and Greener Life Inverloch for recently running successful in-store events. By setting up Facebook events and adding ITA and Visit Inverloch as co-hosts, both Bliss and Greener Life boosted their visibility, allowing the ITA to share their events more broadly. Adding the ITA as a collaborator on social media reels and stories also helped the content reach more people and gain higher engagement.

The ITA supported Bliss and The Larder with social media reels shared across Bass Coast platforms and on the ITA’s digital channels. The results spoke for themselves — Bliss ran a fabulous sidewalk sale, Greener Life celebrated its refreshed store with specials, a coffee van, and a raffle, and The Larder hosted a delicious in-store tasting session.

The more content and event details you share with the ITA, the more we can promote and amplify your efforts. Together, we can continue showcasing Inverloch’s incredible local businesses and the vibrant experiences they create

From wine-and-dine nights hosted by small businesses to major external events like the Jazz Festival or Running Festival, every event, big or small, contributes to the overall visitor experience. Markets, music, in store workshops, art exhibitions, book launches and cultural celebrations all add colour and vibrancy to Inverloch’s calendar and give people a reason to explore, linger and return.

At the Inverloch Tourism Association (ITA), we’re committed to building and supporting this vibrant event culture. We aim to source the funds and the volunteer army to deliver one major tourism event per year; currently the Inverloch Equinox Festival held in March and provide promotional support to as many other events as possible.

Our goal is to amplify the reach of local happenings and make it easy for visitors to find what’s on and with this in mind we dedicated resources to build the Visit Inverloch website’s event listing page. This page highlights events in and around Inverloch, listed in date order so visitors can easily scroll and plan their stay, whether they’re looking ahead or already in town for the weekend.
