Love horses? Love a country day out? Prefer your horse celebrations without the bits, whips and spurs? Then saddle up for the Wattle Bank Farm Cup Day Fun Day, a wonderfully different way to spend Cup Day! Tuesday Nov 3rd from 11am.
The Wattle Bank Farm Cup Day Fun Day is all about celebrating and connecting with horses in nature. Forget the usual race-day fuss. This is a chance to slow down, get outdoors and enjoy a relaxed day on the farm, where the horses are the stars and the whole family is welcome.
Dress up, dress down and join the fun
Fancy a little country glamour? Dress yourself and your horse (think hobby horse ) for Fashion on the Fields, or keep things casual. There’s no need for fancy racewear when country comfort is calling!
The day is packed with old-fashioned country games, friendly competition and plenty of laughs. Try your hand at sack racing, egg-and-spoon races and apple bobbing, get creative with hobby horse making, then cheer on the homemade steeds in the Hobby Horse Steeplechase at 2pm.
There’ll be country music to get your toes tapping, prizes to be won and for the little horse lovers, a pony ride too.
And of course, all that country fun calls for a good feed. Gather around the farm BBQ, enjoy a bite to eat and settle in for a day of fresh air, horses and happy company.

Pack your picnic-day essentials
Bring a picnic rug and/or cushions, a hat and sunscreen. An umbrella is a good idea if the weather is looking particularly sunny. There’ll also be some seating and blankets available on the property.
Food, glorious country food
There are options to pre-purchase and pre-pay for food when you book, helping the organisers plan ahead and make sure there’s enough to go around. Prefer to decide on the day? A BBQ will also be available, with a sausage sizzle and a mushroom option for vegan and vegetarian visitors. Food purchased on the day will be paid for when ordering.
