Explore, Discover and Roar in Inverloch!

Discover, Explore & Roar This Cup Weekend with the South Gippsland Conservation Society!

If your little adventurers love dinosaurs, the ocean, or both — Inverloch is the place to be this Cup Weekend! The South Gippsland Conservation Society is hosting a series of hands-on kids’ sessions that bring science, history and nature to life along the spectacular Bunurong Coast.

🦕 Dinosaur Discovery:
Step back in time and walk where dinosaurs once roamed. Expert guides will lead kids through fascinating fossil sites including The Caves and Eagles Nest — home to Australia’s most famous fossil dig, Dinosaur Dreaming. Learn about local dinosaur finds, ancient creatures like Koolasuchus cleelandi, and even search for real footprints and fossils at low tide.

🌊 Rockpool Ramble:
Join a marine expert to explore Inverloch’s incredible intertidal world! Discover sea stars, crabs, snails, and seaweeds — and if you’re lucky, spot an octopus in action.
