From Dinosaurs to Didgeridoos- Stuff for kids

If your little explorers have energy to burn and curiosity to feed, the Inverloch Equinox Festival delivers from sunrise to starlight.

Saturday at The Glade is pure family fun. Expect big laughs with the magical Mr Marvel and his circus tricks, surprise visits from giant seagulls and the pulsing didgeridoo dance beats of Ganga Giri. Kids can line up mini golf hole in one shots, learn rope tying skills with the SES or climb the Scouts rock wall for a gold coin donation.

To celebrate the annual salmon run, Inverloch Fishing and Outdoors is hosting a fun fishing competition. Simply purchase a salmon lure to enter, catch and weigh your fish, and see who lands closest to the mystery weight. A fabulous rod and reel prize is up for grabs.

Beyond The Glade, adventure continues. Pony rides at Wattlebank Farm bring country charm, the Shell Museum opens its coastal treasure trove and Dinosaur Discoveries with the South Gippsland Conservation Society run across the weekend. Budding astronomers can even stay up late for star gazing under Inverloch’s brilliant night skies.

Some events are ticketed, many are free, all are designed to get kids outside, curious and smiling.
