The Sands Invy Fun Run returns to Inverloch on 4 January 2026, inviting runners of all ages to experience the magic of moving along the beautiful sands of Inverloch’s iconic beach 🏖️

Organised by the experienced team at Adventure South, with the Inverloch Surf Life Saving Club as proud community partners, this much-loved event combines fitness, fun and community spirit. Every entry helps raise vital funds to support the Inverloch Surf Life Saving Club and the important work they do keeping our beaches safe.

Starting at The Glade, the course follows Inverloch’s world-class coastline, with runners heading out along the firm sand at low tide, passing the Surf Life Saving Club before turning back. With wide ocean views, salty air and the rhythm of waves beside you, it is a run that feels as good as it looks.

There are three distances to suit all abilities and ages.
The 2km Family Dash is all about fun, perfect for kids, parents and anyone wanting a relaxed run along the sand.
The 6km run offers a solid challenge for regular runners and patrol members looking to push a little further.
For those chasing a true test, the 9km Surf Run delivers a rewarding endurance challenge along the shoreline.

This is a timed event, and every participant receives a finishing medal to celebrate their achievement. Off the course, the atmosphere is relaxed and family friendly, with music, food, face painting and prizes creating a vibrant beachside celebration.
