🔍 Event Overview
Discover the fascinating history of dinosaurs on the Bass Coast! This hands-on experience includes fossil hunting, viewing ancient fault lines and petrified trees, and seeing a real dinosaur footprint on the rock platforms.
Participants will hear from an experienced palaeontologist from Bunurong Coast Education and take part in supervised rock breaking to search for fossils.
After an introduction and safety briefing at the Bunurong Environment Centre, the group will travel (approx. 6 minutes’ drive) to The Caves along Cape Paterson–Inverloch Road. The final activity takes place at Wallace Avenue Community Park, Inverloch, where rock breaking is conducted. All directions will be provided during the briefing.
