Pedal with Purpose …… Riding for safer roads
Cyclists, mark your calendars! On Saturday, November 8, 2025, the Bass Coast Cycle Challenge (BCCC) returns for its 15th year, once again transforming Inverloch into a buzzing hub of riders, road safety champions and community spirit.
Starting and finishing in the stunning seaside town of Inverloch, the BCCC isn’t just one of the most scenic rides in Victoria—it’s also one of the most rewarding. With five ride options to choose from, including a thrilling ~100km gravel course, there’s something for every rider, from seasoned road warriors to weekend adventurers. Choose your challenge across 40km, 53km, 85km, 121km, or hit the gravel for something off the beaten path.
While the breathtaking views across Bass Coast and South Gippsland are reason enough to ride, this event goes well beyond the bike. The BCCC is a community-led, not-for-profit event where every pedal stroke helps save lives. Proceeds fund critical road safety education for young drivers, passengers, and cyclists through the RYDA and L2P programs, which have already empowered over 3000 local students since 2010.
It’s a ride with heart—and a whole lot of fun. Known for its friendly atmosphere and incredible volunteer support, the event caps rider numbers at 1000 to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Early birds not only save on registration, but also go in the draw to win a free ride entry and a custom BCCC rider kit.
Whether you’re racing your mates, enjoying a day out with the family, or simply soaking up the views while supporting a great cause, the Bass Coast Cycle Challenge is a must-do. And with Inverloch’s cafés, cellar doors, beach walks and warm hospitality, it’s the perfect weekend getaway on the coast.
