Book Launch: Ecology of Native Orchids and their Pollinators

Author Talk & Book Signing with Dick Wettenhall

Join South Gippsland Conservation Society for a special afternoon with renowned naturalist Dick Wettenhall as he launches his latest book, Ecology of Native Orchids and their Pollinators.

This beautifully produced volume spans over 550 pages and features 1,200 photographs, documenting the intricate ecosystems of more than 40 orchid species found in The Gurdies Nature Conservation Reserve in Victoria’s Westernport region.

Dick will speak about the extraordinary relationships between orchids and their pollinators, and the delicate, miniature worlds in which they coexist with insects, spiders, and other forest dwellers—many of which face increasing threats to survival.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase on the day, with the opportunity to have them personally signed by the author. Light refreshments will be provided.
